Inspired by the legacy of troops at the helm of adventure since 1934, this pin signifies membership as a Girl Scout Mariner and is worn by Girl Scout Cadettes, Seniors, Ambassadors, Adults, and Mariner alums. Girl Scout Mariners may wear it in place of their membership pin on the insignia tab, centered above the heart on the left side of the uniform.
This vintage-style pin is a reproduction of the original, issued from 1934-1960. During both World War I and World War II, special programs on seafaring and aviation were developed for Senior Girl Scouts.
